Sr. Director of IT Strategic Projects & IT Strategy

Summary
Reporting to the CIO, the Senior Director of IT Strategic Projects & IT Strategy will be responsible for leading multiple strategic, enterprise-wide information systems projects. This is a high visibility, fast pace role that will require significant experience in project management and business collaboration skills to partner with senior level management on key company IT initiatives.
 
Duties
  • Work with IT and key business leaders on planning and executing multiple large scale implementations and projects concurrently
  • Partner with senior business leaders to develop project scope, objectives, requirements and budgets; communicate proposal to other stakeholders to gain buy-in and participation
  • Provide leadership to IT functional staff on project implementations that affect their area of coverage
  • Run Program Management Office and provide oversight into the quarterly release process within IT
  • Provide PMO structure setup and build implementation tools and resources for IT staff 
  • Work closely with CIO to help shape and push the Global IT strategy for the whole organization
  • Manage offshore and vendor relationships pertaining to individual projects
  • Manage high dollar project budgets and vendor expenditures
  • Manage and develop IT staff both directly and indirectly though coaching, mentoring, knowledge transfer, and performance follow-up
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT or related filed; or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • Expert experience in multiple large scale IT systems implementations working in a senior level capacity with a high degree of project oversight and budget responsibility
  • Expert experience in working with senior level management on multiple project implementations; ability to present and communicate to senior management with confidence and poise
  • Must have technical proficiency and experience in architecting strategic roadmap and IT system landscapes
  • Knowledge of IT solutions such as ERPs and Corporate business applications
  • Must possess broad IT and project implementation knowledge that can be utilized across multiple functions and areas of the business
  • Must have experience in managing and executing initiatives through third party vendors and off shore resources
  • Must have expert knowledge of project management and IT PMO (Project Management Office)  setup and implantation
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across the IT department is a must
  • Strong problem solving, analytical skills that can provide timely solutions on the fly
