Sr. Producer

Responsibilities
 
 
  • Manage the schedules of two or more game titles, from pre-production to final product release, to meet defined budgets, schedules and quality benchmarks.
  • Create milestone content and realistic production schedules in coordination with team leads and management.
  • Continuously assess risk and keep scope of the project in line with budget and schedule.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile development methodologies as applied on a previous project.
  • Maintain close communication with team leads and provide team members with material and technical support as needed.
  • Ensure that each member of the team is working from a tracked schedule and has a strong sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability for the quality and timeliness of their contribution.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts between schedule, budget and quality goals.
  • Keep abreast of current trends in the marketplace especially with regard to similar and/or competitive product.
  • Foster positive working relationships, teamwork and communication within the development teams.
  • Bonus points for experience developing Action/Adventure style games and/or broad variety of genres.


Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience in the production of console and/or PC games, working at a developer in a production role.
  • Shipped at least 2 games as a producer from beginning to end.
  • Highly responsible, self-directed, detail oriented problem solver with a burning desire to contribute to a creative environment.
  • Outstanding organization, communication and management skills.
  • Well-versed in project management practices and software including Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Word. Additional software such as Photoshop, Powerpoint desirable.
  • Willing to accept and provide direction, work well under pressure, and handle multiple tasks.
  • Willing to work overtime and on weekends if need be for important deadlines.
  • Flexibility, ability to work collaboratively; excel as both a team player and a leader.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required, preferably Computing, Art, Design, Literature or similar technical or creative discipline.
