UI Artist
Overview
We are seeking an experienced UI Artist at the Visceral Redwood Shores Studio. This is a major opportunity to contribute creatively to an exciting new IP.

Key Responsibilities
• Create design efficient, intuitive and visually compelling game interfaces from mock-ups to production assets
• Work closely with the Art Director, design and programming teams
• Create fast concepts and prototypes to solidify design direction
• Understand and translate the Art Direction through UI, create innovation within a visual direction
• Identify priorities and gaps in current designs, and contribute to the creative process
• Efficiently define and estimate tasks

Required Skills and Experience
• Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash
• Creativity, strong graphic design skills and artistic sense
• Successful background in innovative and intuitive user interface design
• Awareness of current trends in web and UI design
• Ability to understand technical implementations and limitations
• High capacity to learn new tools
• Proactive, problem solver, constantly asking to be challenged
• AA/BFA or equivalent work experience

Pluses
• Video editing and compositing skills: Premiere, After Effects, Combustion
• Drawing, sketching and storyboarding to illustrate concepts and animation principles
• A degree in design related studies (i.e. Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Art)
