UI Programmer

Epic Games is searching for an experienced User Interface programmer to help enhance and maintain UI systems for our games and Unreal Engine 3 (and beyond). You'll work directly with the brightest technical minds in the business as we build the premier game engine for a multitude of platforms.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Art and Design leads to insure that UI meets aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Define and lead UI prototyping
- Careful attention to detail, especially with regard to compliance, layout and design
- Architect, plan and implement new UI systems
- Optimize and fix bugs in existing UI systems
- Contribute ideas toward all aspects of the game’s production and development
- Write robust, maintainable code
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant programming experience
- Experience building User Interfaces for Games
- Expert in C/C++ and object-oriented programming
- Experience working with a cross-platform engine
- Shipped at least one console title
- Self-motivated, strong work ethic, able to work independently
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Preferred:
- Previous Unreal Engine experience.
- Scaleform and/or Flash ActionScript experience
- Experience working with Xbox Live, PSN or both
- Experience working on action games desirable
