User Experience Manager

We are currently looking for a Manager that understands how 7-12 year old boys and girls think, act, talk and play. 10Wagon is our name and MMOs are our game! We are passionate about our core users and want to make sure they have a voice in what we do. If you understand kids’ play patterns and how to design games and/or toys to meet their needs, we want to talk to you. Our ideal candidate will have top-notch experience designing, testing and launching kids’ toy or toy-related products. He or she will not only understand the fundamentals of kids’ play and kids’ trends, but also how to champion that knowledge within an organization.
Responsibilities:
* Be our internal kids’ advocate
* Collaborate with designers, engineers, marketing and business leadership
* Serve as the cross-functional team expert on boys’ and girls’ behaviors, trends and attitudes
* Develop and execute a play test program for our products
* Responsible for managing research vendors and overseeing study design and execution
* Synthesize research findings from other data sources including market research and game analytics into meaningful recommendations and actionable items
* Evaluate competitive offerings to stay on top of what the competition is doing
* Help develop the marketing plan for kids
Requirements:
* Must play well with kids!
* At least 8 years of experience in a brand/product/research role on a kids’ toy or entertainment property
* Preference will be given to candidates who have successfully launched a kids toy product for 7-12 year olds
* Able to develop creative approaches to researching complex user experience problems and can convey ideas in a tangible form
* Excellent analytical ability, especially with regard to observation of user behavior
* Strong project management and decision-making skills
* Strong presentation skills (both formal and informal)
* Self-starter with the ability to set and execute a plan
* Consensus builder with the skill set needed to drive cross-functional results
* Experience with online communities and interactive entertainment is a plus
